Energy, Enthusiasm, Charisma and Blackburn Rovers – Team Player Jack Hits the Ground Running at Athena
Athena is delighted to announce the arrival of our new apprentice, Jack Holden.
With our new focus on social media marketing and communication we were looking for a very special person who had key skills in social media networking to help us keep in touch with our customers. When Jack came along we were really impressed with his expertise in this field, and even more bowled over by his energy, enthusiasm and drive.
At 18 Jack is the youngest member of staff at The Athena Programme, and our very first male team member. Jack has made a real impact on the team with his sparkling personality and impish sense of humour. He has a real talent for customer care, having arrived from his previous post at Darwen Health Centre where he was responsible for organizing the appointments system for patients in the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. With his charismatic and persuasive manner Jack was able to encourage even the most reluctant of patients to attend the clinic to have their progress monitored.
Jack has real ambition, and when he saw the opportunity at Athena he was determined to join the team. “I want a career where I can further develop my skills in marketing and customer care”, he said. “I want more responsibility and to prove that I have the talent and skills to manage projects”.
Jack is full of brilliant ideas and has x-ray vision – with fresh eyes he constantly reminds us about all the resources we have that we had forgotten about! He has literally hit the ground running, and after only three weeks with us was working on a number of our contracts, designing the layouts of Train the Trainer packs and assisting with conference planning.
Jack loves a challenge, and is aiming to get a zero handicap in golf! With a keen passion for sports such as football and cricket he has all the qualities to be a real team player.
A local lad who loves his hometown, Jack says “I’m from Blackburn born and bred, and proud to be a northerner. My idea of heaven is eating pies and supporting Blackburn Rovers when they’re at home”.
Jack loves hard work and doesn’t believe in standing still for long. If you’re around Blackburn Market on a Saturday go and see Jack on his sweet stall; but make sure you have lots of spare time – our Jack has a reputation for being a bit of a chatterbox!
