As Managing Director, Sarah has created, developed and built the company on a solid foundation of her own vision, values, determination, passion and idealistic social worker view of simply making a difference in the world.
Her extensive knowledge and experience of safeguarding has accumulated from her dynamic and fascinating career in the public and voluntary sectors. During her remarkable international career Sarah has excelled in a variety of roles including volunteer, practitioner and manager. Sarah has 21 years experience as a Social Worker, Probation Officer, and Youth Offending Team manager, voluntary sector manager in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
In addition to her Social Work Diploma and BA (Hons) degree, Sarah also has an MA in Arts-Health, a Tai Chi Teaching Certificate and a Diploma in Moving into the Light and has undertaken extensive training far too long to list!
In founding the company she is a tireless innovator for excellence in safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. Examples of past work include the design of a new infrastructure for the Wigan Safeguarding Children Board; the writing, design and production of a safeguarding induction DVD; safeguarding policy and procedures for various schools and charities; business planning for a number of Local Safeguarding Children Boards and a range of strategic consultancy and training services for NHS Trusts.
Outcome driven and solution focussed, Sarah’s motivation is for the services provided by the company to inspire people to think differently about safeguarding. Her purpose and driving force is to create safeguarding products which will cause a seed to be sown to create a deep sense of caring.
Continually progressive Sarah was instrumental in bringing the techniques of Socio-Drama and Action Methods to safeguarding training. A pioneer for the use of the creative arts, Sarah’s passion and reputation for making learning exciting and fun is widely recognised in this arena and beyond.
Intensely spiritual by nature, Sarah’s faith, trust and belief in universal abundance and equality for all is central to everything she does. It is the inspiration for her whole approach to safeguarding and to the way she conducts business. Honesty, integrity, love, compassion and leading by example are Sarah’s core values. She sees everyone as an individual, leaving them feeling cared for and valued.
Meditation is part of her daily routine. Sarah also appreciates spending time with her family, running with her dog or a good trip to the shops!
Sarah is a great collector. That is, wherever she goes she collects awards, nominations and other acknowledgments for her initiatives, ideas, innovations and accomplishments.
