Parental Mental Illness

Parental Mental Illness will be of interest to you if you want to know more about how parent/carer mental health issues impact on children and the implications for all family members.

You will gain awareness of the possible impact on child development where carer mental health is an issue, have a greater understanding of the needs of children who live in families where there are mental health issues, improve your skills in working with families to improve standards of care, identify practice which remains child-focused, and recognize the importance of inter-agency working in this field.

You do not have to have any prior knowledge of safeguarding to take part.
