Learning Outcomes |
 |
We do not list the “Learning
Outcomes” for our courses for three reasons:
- To enable us to work creatively with organisations
to identify and address learning needs
- To enable us to work with the group process to
deliver programmes which are responsive to individual
and group needs
- Because we are different in our approach
At The Athena Programme we believe that the most
important aspects of the learning situation are that it must
enable the participants’ experiences to come to the fore in
a way which they perceive to be relevant, and it must
respect the different learning styles that participants
might have. Our focus is on learners as individuals and
groups, and we allow the group process to highlight and
confirm learning needs. Our creative and spontaneous
approach enables us to identify individual and group
learning needs and concerns quickly and easily, and to
facilitate the required change in participants’ attitudes
and awareness.
“Training which is passive,
which provides no opportunity for engagement, is unlikely to
produce any change beyond the workshop.”

Training Sociodrama and Team Building, Wiener, Ron, 1997,
